Alex Ovechkin scored an atypical goal that put him in elite company in hockey history on Sunday.

The Capitals came back to beat the Flyers 3-2 in their traditional Super Bowl Sunday matchup. Ovechkin joined Wayne Gretzky and Mike Gartner as the only players in NHL history to score 30 or more goals in their first 11 seasons.

Kris Letang had two goals and an assist, including the winning score on a power play in overtime, and Sidney Crosby had a goal and two assists to lift the Penguins over the Panthers 3-2 on Saturday night.  

The assist by Crosby on Letang's first goal was the 900th point of his NHL career.
